Lending for life's wants and needs.

Personal loans and lines of credit are a great way to finance smaller projects, consolidate debts, or pay for an unexpected expense. In fact, with a personal line of credit, you can create a rainy day fund to pay for surprise expenses so you are ready when life throws a curve ball your way.

How it works.

A Personal Line of Credit is a revolving line of credit, much like a credit card. You will be given a limit, or maximum amount, available to use. You don’t have to use the full sum of money - you can take only what you need. Once the money has been borrowed, you’ll make monthly payments to pay down the balance.

A Personal Loan is a fixed rate and fixed payment obligation, much like an auto loan. Once you borrow the amount needed, you will make regular monthly payments until the loan is paid in full.

Apply for a Personal Loan or Line of Credit.

The first step in acquiring a loan or line of credit is to find a banker. Any of our branch representatives would be more than happy to help you. You can also call the Consumer Lending Department at 1.844.467.0350.

If you already have a relationship with HomeStreet Bank, please reach out to your banker and they will help you through the process of securing a new loan or line of credit. To be able to move forward in the application, you will typically need to provide your last two years’ W2s or tax returns, two most recent pay stubs, and the completed application (can be completed online or request one in-branch or via email). These documents are required so that HomeStreet Bank can assess your situation and work with you to find the best possible financial options available to you. Depending on your situation, we may ask for additional documentation.

We take the time and care to individually review every loan application that comes our way. Whether you need ready access to cash for the unexpected expense, or taking out a loan for a major purchase, we want to help.

Sometimes, you just need a new bike to help with the commute or a way to pay down all your high rate credit cards.

A personal loan can help you finance a major purchase, consolidate debt or help with other larger expenses and is repaid with a fixed, monthly payment. We have various terms, depending on the amount borrowed.

When you need to be ready for the unexpected expense, a Personal Line of Credit may be just what your emergency kit is lacking. Simply draw what you need, when you need it!

You’re given a maximum amount you can borrow against and you only make payments when you have a balance, which makes managing your budget that much simpler.

A safety net attached to your checking account, an Overdraft Line of Credit ensures your checks don’t bounce when your account is short funds.

It also means you don’t have to cover the whole overdraft immediately, giving you a chance to get back on budget even faster.

Savings and CD Secured loans and lines of credit are a great tool to build or establish credit or to just make sure your hard-earned savings remain on deposit. The amount of your loan or line of credit is held as collateral until you repay or close your loan.

Ask us about our Credit Partner Loan that also helps you build savings and positive credit.  To apply for a savings secure loan or line of credit, please contact a personal banker at a branch near you.
