Can't find your dream home? Build it! With HomeStreet's custom Construction loans are used to finance a combination of home construction and purchase. You are able to lock in the interest rate on the permanent loan before construction even begins, allowing for peace of mind as you build your home.

Benefits include:

  • Loan amounts up to $2 million
  • Just 10% down is required
  • Avoid interest rate risk and fluctuations as the long-term rate is locked before construction begins
  • Lot purchase may be included in the loan
  • One loan approval, one loan closing and one appraisal - all up front

High home prices don't have to mean you are priced out of purchasing a home. HomeStreet offers a unique Jumbo financing option that allows buyers to purchase their dream home with a flexible down payment strategy. You are only obligated to contribute a minimum 10% of your own funds towards the down payment. The remaining portion of the down payment can come from gift funds or funds sourced from a down payment investor program, such as Unison. 

Here's how Unison works:

  • Unison contributes between 10% and 12.5% towards your down payment for loan amounts up to $500,000
  • The contribution is an investment, not a separate loan. That means there is no additional monthly expense for you
  • Unison is an investor in your home until such a time that you sell it and make a profit, which they then gain a portion of
  • This program is available to homes up to $2 million
