Clues to Direct Tri-Cities Residents to Hidden Model Hydroplanes to Win VIP Experience & Exclusive Meet-and-Greet with World Champion Driver Jimmy Shane
TRI-CITIES, Wash. – HomeStreet Bank, one of the largest community banks based in Washington, will launch a hydroplane scavenger hunt on Thursday, July 27 to help ring in Water Follies, which begins the following day. Clues will be posted on Twitter to direct Tri-Cities residents to five hidden Miss HomeStreet model hydroplanes. Five grand prize winners will receive four three-day Pit Passes to Water Follies, a meet-and-greet with world champion racer Jimmy Shane and a tour of the Miss HomeStreet hydroplane. An additional 50 prizes will be given to those who correctly identify a location, but aren’t the first to find the hydroplane.

DETAILS: Beginning at 9 a.m., clues for the locations will be posted on Twitter via @HomeStreetBank, @missmadisonrt and @JimmyShane1, using the hashtag #MissHomeStreet. Those who find a model hydroplane must take it to the HomeStreet Bank branch at 7510 W. Clearwater Ave. in Kennewick to receive their grand-prize. Those who know the location but aren’t the first to find the hidden hydroplane can head to the Kennewick branch to receive one of the additional 50 prize packs.

About Jimmy Shane: Jimmy Shane joined the Miss Madison Racing Team in 2014 as the 21st driver of the community owned hydroplane. Since being named A.P.B.A. Region 4 "Rookie of the Year" in 2001, Jimmy has won countless races and awards as he gained experience in the Limited Classes. An accomplished fabricator, he has also designed and built record-setting hydroplanes and runabouts. Jimmy first test-drove an Unlimited hydroplane in 2006 in Celina, Ohio, and entered Unlimited competition as a substitute driver at Tri-Cities, WA in 2007. He raced his first full season in the Unlimited series in 2012. Jimmy has quickly accumulated 11 race wins including back-to-back U.I.M. World Championships in 2012 and 2013. Jimmy captured the 2013, 14, 15 & 16 H1 Unlimited Season Driver Championship and back-to-back APBA Gold Cup and H1 Unlimited Season Championships in 2014, 15 and 16. Jimmy is employed as an Integration Engineer at Blue Origin, LLC in Kent Washington. He and wife Bianca both come from boat racing families and reside in Maple Valley, Washington with their sons, Colton and Hudson.
