HomeStreet Bank Continues Sponsorship of National Champion Miss HomeStreet H1 Unlimited HydroplaneJanuary 13, 2017SEATTLE, Wash. – January 12, 2017 – HomeStreet Bank today announced that it will continue in its role as sponsor of the team for H-1 Unlimited hydroplane Miss HomeStreet. The Miss HomeStreet won the 2016 H1 Unlimited National Championships. In 2016, Miss HomeStreet and championship driver Jimmy Shane also won the HAPO Columbia Cup, Indiana Governors Cup and Bill Muncey Cup.
“We are excited to be sponsoring the Miss Madison H-1 Unlimited Team again this year, racing Miss HomeStreet,” said HomeStreet CEO and President Mark Mason. “We look forward to enjoying another action-packed season of races and events with the members of the communities where we serve including Seattle, the Tri-Cities, and San Diego.” Miss HomeStreet will also race in Detroit, Michigan and the racing team’s hometown of Madison, Indiana.
Miss HomeStreet has a long history as the only community-owned Unlimited hydroplane, owned by the city of Madison, Indiana. The Miss Madison Racing Team has competed since 1961 and has the greatet number of wins for an active H1 Unlimited racing team. It is led by Team Manager Charlie Grooms, Team President Bob Hughes, championship-winning Driver Jimmy Shane, Crew Chief Dan Hoover and an all-star crew.

The partnership between HomeStreet Bank and the Miss Madison Racing Team is directly in line with HomeStreet’s mission to be an involved and positive force within the communities it works.
