HomeStreet Bank and Davis Wright Tremaine Raise $50,000 for Local Nonprofits in Second Annual Golf Tournament

July 28, 2014SEATTLE—July 25, 2014—HomeStreet Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of HomeStreet, Inc. (NASDAQ:HMST), and Davis Wright Tremaine LLP (DWT) hosted the Second Annual Charity Golf Invitational on July 9 at The Golf Club in Newcastle, Wash. HomeStreet and DWT organized the event and raised $50,000 for two Seattle-based nonprofit agencies: Bellwether Housing and the YWCA Seattle-King-Snohomish. Each organization received $25,000 to support their respective causes.

“We and our partners at DWT are proud to provide significant support for the missions of these two organizations with this great event,” said Mark Mason, president and CEO of HomeStreet Bank. “We were thrilled at the response we received this year and the tremendous enthusiasm of everyone who attended.”

“Both HomeStreet and DWT have long-standing relationships with each of these organizations, and we are proud to join with HomeStreet and support their critical missions,” said Marc Williams, partner and member of DWT’s corporate finance group.

Bellwether Housing provides affordable rental housing for low-wage working people and their families and for low-income seniors. YWCA Seattle-King Snohomish works to combat racism and empower women in our communities, moving women and families out of crisis and into safe and independent living environments and lifestyles.

The event was a sell-out, with 288 golfers participating on the China Creek and Coal Creek courses. Golfers included HomeStreet management and directors, DWT lawyers, clients, event sponsors and other members of the greater Puget Sound community.
