COVID-19 Insurance Information

HomeStreet Insurance Agency and our carriers are dedicated to supporting our community and our customers during this uncertain time, especially those impacted directly by the COVID-19 virus. Our carriers are suspending cancellation of policies for non-payment and waiving late fees for all customers due to COVID-19 between now and May 9, 2020.


Below are some additional ways that our insurance carriers are helping our customers during these uncertain times:

- Encompass Insurance - Most customers will receive 15% off their monthly premium in April and May, totaling more than $600 million. This will show up as a credit to their bank account, credit card, or Allstate account.

- Safeco Insurance - Personal auto insurance customers will receive a 15% refund on two months of their auto premium, based on your premium amount as of April 7, 2020.

- Progressive - Personal auto insurance customers who have a policy in force as of April 30, 2020 will be credited 20% off their April premiums in May. Personal auto insurance customers who have a policy in force as of May 31, 2020 will be credited 20% off their May premiums in June.

- Grange Insurance Association - Customers who have an active personal auto policy will be credited 5% of their premiums for two months.

- Stillwater Insurance Group - Customers with policies in force will receive a credit for the months of April and May. The total credit applied to the insured's account will then be deducted from their next payment. For those on monthly pay plans, that means their next monthly installment would be reduced by the total credit amount. For those who have paid their policy in full, their renewal amount would be reduced by the total credit amount instead.

- MAPFRE - Subject to regulatory approval, the MAPFRE Insurance Staying Home Refund will return 15% of April and May premiums to personal auto policyholders, over $30 million. On average, most policyholders will receive a premium credit of approximately $40. No action is required on the part of the policyholder to receive this premium credit which will be applied within the next 60 days. Customers who have paid in full will receive a refund within this same time period.
