Lakeside School Down Payment Assistance Program

Over the past several years, home prices have risen considerably in the Puget Sound region, creating the need for special programs to help people finance homes.

The Lakeside School has created a unique down payment assistance program available to all Lakeside School employees to help them buy their first home.

This program was designed to help bridge the gap between the cost of housing and the amount you can afford to spend on homes.  The Affinity Lending Center offers eligible Lakeside School employees the Lakeside School Homebuyer Assistance Program.  Lakeside School contributes up to 17% of the purchase price, which helps you increase your down payment to 20%.  This special program helps you qualify for a better home and eliminates the need for mortgage insurance, saving you money each month!

Eligibility

This program is available to all Lakeside employees who meet the following requirements:

  • Be a Lakeside School employees for at least 2 years

  • Participate in a first-time homebuyer class

  • Have a minimum of 3% for a down payment

  • Be approved by a HomeStreet Bank Affinity Loan Officer

Please note: Down payment assistance is in the form of a second mortgage with no payments for the first 8 years.
