Free Homebuyer Education — Learn From the Experts!
Does the idea of a mortgage scare you? HomeStreet's Affinity Lending Center offers monthly First–Time Homebuyer Classes that can help reduce the stress and confusion of buying a home. It is also a great place to start if you're considering buying a home and are not quite ready.
Classes typically last five to eight hours and provide a comprehensive overview of the home buying process in easy–to–understand terms. The classes are taught by experienced housing professionals and include guest speakers such as: loan officers, home inspectors, insurance representatives, and real estate agents.
Classes are not limited to first–time homebuyers, anyone interested in gaining knowledge about the home buying process is encouraged to attend.

The ABC’s of Homebuying is taught by housing professionals through the Portland Housing Center. Participants in the class will receive a certificate required for the Oregon State Bond program and numerous other programs designed to assist low– and moderate–income homebuyers.
