Finding Your Dream Home

We can't all live in the house at the top of the hill, and in truth, not everyone would want to! But given the right approach you should be able to find a home and home loan that meet your dreams and your budget.

When shopping for a home you may want to consider:

• The home's location
• The home's type
• The size of the home
• Your lifestyle
• Future needs

Often these are best discussed with a real estate agent. At HomeStreet Bank we encourage you to find a real estate agent that works well with you and knows the neighborhood(s) you are interested in living in. If you need help in finding an agent please talk to one of our local Loan Officers, they should be able to give you a few names.

While you talk to your HomeStreet Loan Officer go ahead and get pre–approved. Your real estate agent will appreciate knowing what loan amount you qualify for. It will help your agent make realistic choices in selecting what neighborhoods to look in and which homes to show you. This will also put you ahead of other buyers that may be interested in the same home as you.
