HomeStreet's commitment to the communities where we do business is simply part of our ongoing legacy. Founded in 1921, HomeStreet began by providing financing for Seattle's developing communities. Today much of the same philosophy of community involvement remains. Each year, HomeStreet contributes at least two percent of its pre–tax profits to organizations in its communities. HomeStreet is not a foundation; it gives charitable contributions as part of active partnerships with organizations that focus on specific community needs including: homes and housing, parks and open spaces, and organizations where HomeStreet employees are intimately involved. At HomeStreet Bank, we take a comprehensive approach to community service. Through our partnerships, HomeStreet is able to provide leadership, hands-on service, expertise, products and services, and financial support.
