David E. Hooston, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

David E. Hooston is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of HomeStreet Bank. Most recently, Mr. Hooston served as managing partner of Granite Bay Partners, LLC, a private equity firm. Previously, he was with Placer Sierra Bancshares for 12 years, where he served as CFO, a member of the Board of Directors of Placer Sierra Bank, and President and Chief Operating Officer of its predecessor, California Financial Bancorp. While with Placer Sierra Bancshares, he played a key role in building the institution from its inception to its ultimate sale to Wells Fargo & Co. in 2007. Mr. Hooston also served as CFO of ValliCorp Holdings, Inc. and, earlier in his career, as audit manager of Price Waterhouse & Company. Mr. Hooston is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
