Based in Seattle, family- and employee-owned HomeStreet Bank is one of the largest privately owned banks in the Northwest and Hawaii. HomeStreet began in 1921 as Continental Mortgage and Loan Company, initially offering financing for commercial real estate and home mortgages. HomeStreet evolved into a full service bank in 1986, further expanding its products and services in 2000 to include business banking and lending. Now in its third generation of family leadership, HomeStreet Bank is one of very few banks in the nation to be consistently recognized by the federal government as “Outstanding” under the Community Reinvestment Act.

Hometown Home Loan Program HomeStreet Bank’s employer-assisted housing program, the Hometown Home Loan Program, was launched with the City of Seattle in 1994. The program provides discounted home loan services to employees of municipalities and private businesses, as well as a variety of down payment assistance programs for first-time homebuyers. HomeStreet partners with nearly 40 businesses and municipalities in Washington, Oregon and Hawaii.
Windermere Mortgage Services Windermere Mortgage Services Series LLC, a Delaware series limited liability company and an affiliate of HomeStreet Bank, provides mortgage services as a direct lender at the point of sale. Windermere Mortgage Services has mortgage loan consultants in 44 Windermere Real Estate offices in Washington and Oregon.
Business Banking HomeStreet offers a full line of banking products for businesses, including loans and lines of credit customized to suit both new and growing small and medium-size businesses.
Retail Banking HomeStreet’s retail banking focuses on serving the neighborhoods and communities around branches. We also offer a complete suite of online banking capabilities, including online account opening and paperless statements.
Residential Construction Lending HomeStreet Bank provides financing for residential home builders and real estate developers.
HomeStreet Capital HomeStreet Capital offers competitive services and loans for permanent, construction, bridge, forward, renovation and refinancing of income property projects through a wide range of loan programs. HomeStreet Capital is the only Fannie Mae DUS multifamily lender based in the Pacific Northwest.
HomeStreet Insurance HomeStreet Insurance has been in operation since 1928, providing personal and small business insurance products. Licensed in Washington and Oregon, HomeStreet Insurance is a full-service, independent agency representing a variety of providers including Encompass, Liberty Northwest, Foremost, Jackson National, Mass Mutual, Progressive, RLI, SAFECO, Superior Underwriters, Symetra Financial, Unigard and Zurich.
HomeStreet in the Community Community involvement has always been a high priority for HomeStreet. HomeStreet’s primary area of community focus is housing. HomeStreet supports community organizations by creating active partnerships through providing leadership, hands-on service, expertise and financial support. HomeStreet also participates in innovative home loan programs that make subsidies and incentives available to low- and moderate-income homebuyers.
In 2006, HomeStreet became the first bank to join the Seattle Climate Partnership. The company continues to look for ways to incorporate environmentally friendly approaches into its business practices.
