Awards and Recognition

HomeStreet Bank is proud to be the recipient of national and regional awards that recognize our work and that of our employees:

2009

Healthy Community Corporate Champion for 'Basic Needs,' as awarded by Puget Sound Business Journal and The Seattle Foundation.  HomeStreet received the award for its leadership and the work it does to meet the basic need of housing in its communities.

2007

Washington’s Best Workplaces bronze winner, as chosen by Puget Sound Business Journal.  HomeStreet was recognized for its stability in an industry that’s largely driven by mergers and acquisitions, being a family-owned company that actively values and involves its employees, and its great benefits.

Community Reinvestment Act "Outstanding" rating, as determined by the FDIC. The federal regulation evaluates how effectively a federally-insured bank or thrift meets the credit needs of its communities, including low- and moderate-income residents. HomeStreet has received an "Outstanding" rating since the process was initiated in 1989.

Spirit of Caring Award for Outstanding Employee Volunteer Program, from United Way of King County.  HomeStreet was recognized for its great employee volunteer service program.  Approximately 75 percent of HomeStreet employees serve their communities through volunteerism.

Recognized by Portland Business Journal as one of the Top Corporate Philanthropists in Oregon and Southwest Washington.

2006

Community Bank Award for Helping to Achieve Homeownership, from America’s Community Bankers.   HomeStreet was recognized for its long-term focus on housing: helping people find affordable housing by providing unique loan opportunities, partnering with community organizations that address the need for affordable housing, and creating special programs to meet the needs of first-time and low- to moderate-income homebuyers.

City of Destiny Award from the City of Tacoma for outstanding volunteerism, including the bank’s partnership with Metro Parks for Pierce County Parks Appreciation Day.  HomeStreet has been a sponsor and participant of the park clean-up and beautification program since its inception.
